John The Baptist & Passionate About People (Pt. 2)
In this second part of our Passionate About People conversation, we sit down with Hayley, Joe’s wife, to continue reflecting on how God works through people and community.
This conversation is wonderfully real. At moments, you’ll hear their beautiful son in the background, a gentle reminder that faith is lived out in ordinary, everyday spaces, not just quiet or polished ones. It felt fitting for a conversation centred on people, family and community.
What struck me as I listened back and edited, was how much Hayley’s story echoed what Parisse shared earlier in the week. Even though these conversations were recorded separately, the themes overlapped again and again. The importance of being seen. The healing found in safe community. The way God meets us through others when we least expect it.
We’ve chosen to share both parts because together they tell a fuller story. Different voices, different journeys, but the same heart. A reminder that being passionate about people isn’t a value we talk about, it’s something we live.
This episode closes with Parisse leading us in prayer, gently drawing together the themes of both conversations in God’s presence.
We hope you enjoy listening to Part Two as much as we did recording it and that it encourages you to notice how God may be at work through the people around you.
As you listen, we invite you to reflect on this question:
How can I love people this week in a way that points them toward Jesus?
Part 2 is waiting for you to listen…enjoy!
