Hiring: Pandemic Support Co-Ordinator – Thames Ward

We want to see every person in our community thriving, through the pandemic that has been tough and we need our neighbours and local communities more than ever. We are partnering with local services to help give vital support for those who are isolated and cut-off through the restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these include support with shopping, prescription pick ups, befriending, among other things. We are looking for someone to help coordinate and support these efforts.
These hours are on a self-employed basis and are linked to the demand on services, capped at 5 hours per week, with fortnightly timesheets to be submitted. At an hourly rate of c.£15.50.
The role would include: liaising with the council and other locality partners to keep up to date with protocol and anticipate demand; to increase awareness of the provision particularly for those in need; to co-ordinate volunteers to respond to requests on an online portal in a timely and safe manner; to track finances, ensuring timely expense payments for volunteers and smooth cash flow for shopping payments.
Closing date Friday 27th November. There will be a short interview on zoom for shortlisted candidates week beginning 30th November.
