Pandemic Support Co-Ordinator – Thames Ward

Church at Barking Riverside are partnering with local services to help give vital support for those who are isolated and cut-off through the restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these include support with shopping, prescription pick ups, befriending, among other things. We are looking for someone to help coordinate and support these efforts on a self-employed basis. Hours linked to demand capped at 5hr/wk; £15.50 per hour. Find out more and how to apply here.

Communications and Outreach Officer

Thames Ward Community Partnership are recruiting for a Communications and Outreach Officer to join our team who will work with the Head of Communications and Programmes, resident trustees and the wider Thames Ward community to consolidate the communications infrastructure and ensure the promotion of resident voice through high quality communications, informed by regular community outreach. The post-holder will use strong marketing, social media and communications skills to enable residents to become active and enterprising citizens, working together for the common good of existing and future communities. 28 hours per week; £26,520 pro rata. We at Church At Barking Riverside are looking for volunteers to help with the next phase of supporting Thames residents through BD CAN. As referrals come in for shopping/prescription pick ups and drop offs, you will be contacted and if you are available we will give you all of the information and contact details needed to complete the referral for us.
